Q: Why Exquisite Safaris Philanthropic Travel?
Q: Do you have references?
A: PHILANTHROPIC TRAVEL IS THE ULTIMATE LUXURY EXPERIENCE
A: MADE TO MEASURE PHILANTHROPIC TRAVEL. All of our trips are designed based on your input and made to measure for your discerning groups of friends, family or colleagues. Organizing a made to measure trip is easy, just tell us when, where and how you want to go. We'll create an itinerary exclusively for you and make it all happen in 5- 6 star private guided luxury style.
A: PHILANTHROPY BUILT IN. Exquisite Safaris Philanthropic Travel builds a morning or afternoon visit (at a minimum) into every itinerary we create. Philanthropic Travel is intended to be a learning experience rather than a service experience. Their is no better way to experience indigenous culture than as the guest of a humanitarian outreach organization who are making a significant difference in the community. Exquisite Safaris donates $250 per traveler to the project visited in addition to what you may decide to gift. $250 dollars per traveler is currently 5X more than any company the travel industry commits to communities visited.
A: EXPERIENCE PHILANTHROPIC EDUCATION, INSPIRATION, EMPOWERMENT AND FUN. Exquisite Safaris Philanthropic Travel was founded to support grassroots humanitarian outreach projects in the destinations people are already visiting. Our mission is to create trust, dispel fear and create and understanding in the world, we are using luxury travel as a catalyst to spark those experiences.

Q: Do you handle last minute travel requests?
A: Not unless you have previously traveled with Exquisite Safaris. We create unique, personalized itineraries with very special activities that are not normally available and require significant time and effort to arrange. Exquisite Safaris does not accept last minute requests because the exclusive properties, guides and experiences we recommend are spoken for months in advance. Advance planning guidelines: Africa 12 months, Asia 3 months, South America 3 months, India 4 months, Cruises 3 months.Q: We support and donate to various non-profit organizations already. Will Exquisite Safaris plan our itinerary without any visits to humanitarian organizations?
A: Yes. Exquisite Safaris will be happy to plan luxury itineraries that do not include visits to humanitarian outreach projects. Even if you choose not to visit our partner projects, Exquisite Safaris will donate $250 per traveler to support innovative humanitarian endeavors in the locales you visit.
Q: Do you have a newsletter?
A: Yes. Our newsletter is called Safari Journal and you can subscribe to it by email (see right sidebar) or RSS.
Q: What is the difference between Philanthropic Travel and Voluntourism? Will I be required to 'work' during my vacation? Can I work if I choose to?
A: Our humanitarian outreach partners request that you visit, understand the challenges they face and donate money rather than your time. Exceptions include medical doctors, nurses, and technologists with hard to come by specific skills. Philanthropic Travel includes a morning or afternoon to introduce you to the culture, warmth and wisdom of your host community.
Q: Why don't you list scheduled departure dates and itineraries for your tours on your website?
A: Our travel recommendations are personalized based on your preferences and interests, we design each journey for you -in collaboration with you. Your trip can depart any day you choose. Set an appointment with us right now.
Q: How do you define private guided touring?
A: Private vehicle and your own guide -available 24 hours a day. Your guide is your concierge; if you decide you'd like to change your daily activities they will facilitate changes for you on the spot.
Q: I've heard that the most private African Safari Camps are spoken for 12 months in advance, is that true?
A: Yes. Exquisite Safaris recommends planning African Travel 12 to 18 months in advance to reserve camps in the most pristine low volume tourist areas in southern and eastern Africa. Please remember, these incredible camps only accommodate 8-16 guests.
Q: Do you plan for special family experiences like multi-generational travel, and celebrations like honeymoon's, anniversaries etc?
A: Yes. We arrange very intimate and memorable private family experiences.
Q: What happens during an emergency while we are traveling?
A: Exquisite Safaris will provide local telephone numbers that you can use to reach our concierge 24 hours a day. In addition, your guide will be available to translate and assist you in coordinating an expedited solution. Please note, medical evacuation is very expensive and not covered by Exquisite Safaris.
