Travel philanthropy is yet another subset of giving, that is proving popular with affluent people who perhaps want to find meaning in life, far afield. Specialist travel agencies have cropped up to fill that need, offering luxury vacations which combine the opportunity to contribute to society.

For example, a stay in a five-star hotel could be combined with a visit to a humanitarian outreach project. Packages can include children who might also need to find meaning in their lives too.
